biothane and beta

Perhaps I am confusing the two terms ( I admit I am a newbie). I thought biothane was the  leather like material (that is actually like leather as  thick as leather  )and beta was the very thin plastic material. Am I using these terms correct or is it flip flopped ? I want my bridle to be made of the thicker leather like black plastic (biothane ?) and an over lay color accent to be made of the thin (beta? ) material in a very dark green ( about the color of dark pine needles). I am also looking for the bridle to have bit hangers and be a halter bridle combo. I also like the kind that the bridle and halter are sewn at the top of the bridle to lay better on the horse. I know picky -aren't I... I figure if I am going to buy a new bridle I want it to be the style and color I want.
