Portable Corral-info request

Am debating between the panels and the portable electric.

I'm leaning toward the portable electric, as I think it's more versatile and, 
well,
portable.  My horses fuss a bit when one or the other leaves, but so far have
only been vocal when tied to a picket line or to the trailer.

Thought I could practice with the portable electric at home to get them 
comfortable with it.
Does anyone have suggestion, stories or reccomendations? What are the 
best chargers? What kind of tape (how wide) do you use?
