I have been dumping the e-lytes into the syringe and adding

I take a bowl, put in two heaping teaspoons of either yogurt or
applesauce. Put in the dose of e-lytes and stir. Spoon into syringe. You
can barely get the plunger back in, then have to sort of turn it over and
tap it awhile to get the air to the top, then squirt the air out. I like
to mix mine the night before, stand them in a big ziplock baggie and
leave them in a cooler. One less thing to do during the ride.
P.S. Never put them in your friend who is sharing your vet check's cooler
if she is doing the 50 and you're doing the 100...she may pack up her vet
check and drive away leaving you sprinting across the venue yelling like
in the movie "Shane", "JUNE, COME BACK, JUNE, COME BACK!"
