Kat; You are absolutely right about a horse able to run with his head
pulled around, and also that a "shoulder" in proves that a horse can, indeed,
run with his legs crossing over. I was actually talking about hindend
displacement usually being the way to get a horse stopped in an
emergency. You explained very clearly why using two reins equally, and
pulling harder, is not effective to stop or slow a horse that has not been
taught, or doesn't understand what the pull on his face means. Thank
