Funny you should ask.....the first time I ever posted to ridecamp was quite
awhile ago to answer this exact question. I did ride while pregnant, and
after telling my story, several people wrote to tell me how reckless and
what an awful mother I was, but I am a glutton for punishment and will tell
it again, BTW, my son just left for college where he got $24,000 worth of
scholarships, is 6'5" tall, and never had so much as an earache all his
life. So before I start, you will know that I did not hurt him either
physically or intellectually!!!
I was 24 when I was pregnant with my only child, I was fit from a college
swimming carreer and had ridden horses all my life. I rode until the day I
gave birth, I rode a 50 miler at 7.5 months along and was third. I rode a
50 miler when he was 3.5 weeks old, nursing at the checks.
