  If any of you ever had the opportunity to ride with Melanie, you learned
what a great person she was. She had a great personality and great sense of
humor. She loved to ride and loved her 3 horses even more. They were her
babies. She rode NATRAC and endurance. Melanie lost her battle with lung
cancer Sept. 20, 2002, seven months after diagnosis. She will be dearly
missed. She told me to think of her when I rode. I see her riding
white-winged horses with clouds floating by.
