Tamara, I am a helmet wearer. I
used to wear the velvet hunt caps as well (as I used to do a lot of
eventing). Since I have been in long distance I have had the Troxel
Sport. I love these helmets. They are very cheap,
(inexpensive) extremly cool, and if you crash they replace it free.
I have had one replaced so far, only paid shipping. ( actually
didn't crash but didn't duck a tree once , had my head turned
talking, and cracked it once and ) I keep two around so that if one
needs replacement I still have one to wear. I have tried the
Lidlocker, didn't like it. The Lexington, didn't like it. The velvet
ones, too hot. I could go on and on but I always recommend the Troxel
Sport for my students. I make helmet covers for winter if it is
cold, with just the helmet. Hope
