Laurie, that is also what I learned in eventing, to
go straight down, or the horse could fall since their legs are not ment for
sidways hilling.
In eventing we used to have to go up and
down "stairs" on the cross country course and over a jump as
well. Would not be able to do that if going zig zag.
Anyway I don't think I would try zig zagging down
my mountains. They are mostly ledges.
From my house everything is either up or
down. One side of my house up and one side of my
house down. And everywhere we go. Not much flat area in Oxford
