[RC] Question to ask when buying... - Jennifer Thompson
I may be looking to purchase another horse to replace my
mare that has not recovered from a stifle injury.
I haven't bought a new horse in 11 years....and even then,
the one I bought was a foal - the mare I still have today
that is now lame. :(
So, can anybody help me out here with what questions are
important to ask when inquiring about a good riding horse?
I want to do some endurance or CTR, but I'll never be a real
contender due to lack of time, etc. Probably stick to 25's
and novice CTR...while I may move up to more eventually, I'm
not Tevis material...LOL But soundess, ground manners,
conformation, a sane mind, trail experience all still
matter.
Any pointers or lists of questions to ask sellers would be
really appreciated! The whole idea of starting off fresh
with a new horse is pretty scary, and I can use all the
guidance I can get in what to look for/ask about!
Thanks
Jennifer
