[RC] Selling horses - CMNewell
It wasn't all that long ago that one saw lots of commentary on how awful it
was that one couldn''t sell a distance horse for what it was worth.
Now folks are complaining that distance horses are being sold for big bucks.
Seems like no one is ever happy.
Isn't this the bastion of individual freedom and free enterprise?
Why then do we lament that someone with money is buying good horses for
lots of dinero?
No one is going to force somenone who *doesn't* want to sell their horse to
do so; conversely, folks who want the $$ ought to be allowed to sell if
they wish. Put in a bid if you want the horse.
As for the blanket condemnation of an entire geographic region and it's
inhabitants for the actions of an evil few, I'm ashamed of what's being
said here.
I've visited that part of the world, and friends, the common folks there
are pretty much the same as the rest of us. Maybe a tad more hospitable, if
anything.
I sure hope they don't judge all of us by the rude and uninformed comments
of some of us.
