  As Becky said, they do come in different top bar widths.  Also, all you have to do is undo the bolt, and take out the PVC sleeve, then you can hacksaw it shorter and re-bolt it back.  If you ever needed it wider again, you can buy the pvc at a hardware store, it's pretty cheap !  BTW- I love my real fleece stirrup covers that are over my leathers !  Happy Trails ! - Heidi Helly
