Can't speak for how she trains, but it appears to be pretty obvious that her
first step is to consistently start with well-bred (meaning bred to be
capable of athletic work, NOT meaning famous show horses in pedigree) raw
material.... :-) Good training methods improve any horse, but they go a
lot farther when one starts with horses that have the innate ability to do
the job that is being asked. And not even the best of training methods can
make silk purses out of sows' ears. Granted, even the best raw material
will not make it to a gold medal at a WEG without capable training--but both
ingredients are necessary for success. I know I'm not addressing your
question, but I find it interesting how Jo posts her observations from
another continent and reports how essentially the same genetics come to the
forefront there as continue to rise to the top here in the USA and Canada.
