I am just passing this information along. I read it in our local Hamilton County Herald her in Chattanooga, TN. Due to continuing drought and wildfires the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is conducting some emergency animal gatherings. This auction will be on September 28-29, 2002 at the Knoxville Livestock Center. "We are expecting to have an INCREDIBLE selection of wild horses and burros available, lots of young, colorful animals. 130 animals will be available!" The adoption is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 8:00 to 12:00 noon on Sunday. Qualifications: Must agree to give good home, have adequate facilities, 18 years of age, U.S. resident, must have no convictions for inhumane treatment of animals, must have adequate facilities, financial means to care for animal, and a stock trailer. You can adopt up to 4 animals. Auction will use competitive bidding process, with minimum bids of $125.00. Just FYI Beth Bennett
