[RC] I say NO, NO NO, to spinal cord injury! - billiejean
Thank you all for writing,
This past weekend we did a long trail riding weekend, up in the White Mountains, Mt.Baldy, over 7500 ft, lots of up and down hills, rocks, etc., etc. ......and guess what?! He did absolutely wonderful!!..only problem i had was him thinking it was a race on the first morning, and well...i had to get off, get him and myself under control, stayed back a while with just 3 other riders instead of the 20, and he settled down after about 45 mins into the ride. We did 19 miles Saturday. The only thing i did notice was his "kink", that he works out by streatching his right or left hind leg straight out to the side. I take extra care, by walking him in hand before and after the rides. Soooooo, i can't believe that he has a spinal cord injury, and does not no where his hind feet are!!! Just can't except this conclusion. I think that if this Vet saw him now,and especially on the trail, after his 2 Chiro treatments, he would have a differant opinion, but why should i spend more $$$$$$, i think i will just keep riding him on training type,
tough trail rides and we will see. As far has the hocks?, another Vet/Chiro, checked this about 2 years ago, and of course the recent Vet, checked all of this when he did the neurological test. I am just so torn now, about trying to compete with him again or not.
