I have to weigh in on this one, as a farrier, I can
tell you that trying reshoe a horse that has one foot that has not had a shoe
and has worn away, is a PAIN.  The foot with the shoe will not wear, of
course, and the one without could be worn quite a bit - it is a real pain in the
hiney to get these feet to match.  Pull the shoe if you have the means, and
the terrain is decent, use a boot, or don't ride the horse. IMHO.

Sorry Maggie, I had to disagree with you.
BTW, my mare wasn't 100% on Thursday, so we did not make the 500 mile trip to
White River - sorry to miss you, I was looking forward to meeting you and
Nelson.
