Ridecamp: RE: [RC] freedom of speech,,, accusations and Sheath Cleaning

I live in a country with highly censored newspapers that manage to abuse
rights all over the place, and I know that anyone who knows me would not
call me in the least bit conservative.....BUT, while reactions to sheath
cleaning can be amusing as can descriptions of the process (Pat Harris's
instructions for it are hysterical) I really have to object to personal
attacks on the net.  Most of the time I lurk, but in this case, I really
find this sort of thing offensive. I have, in my not-very-pro-FEI posts
about rides in this part of the world, been very clear in my descriptions of
the observed offenses, but I would not mock or make suppositions about
another person in public, and this is a public forum. My mother always told
me that I could be as accurate as possible, but always to be polite. Is
Thumper on call anywhere here?

 I have read of  people who cannot appreciate someone else's rights, they
are called Nazis, Fascists, and dictators.  As long as nothing blatantly
illegal is talked about, for example murder or something of that nature, I
feel there is nothing wrong with what we are saying.
