RE: [RC] Algae in water tanks - Snodgrass, Bonnie

But how often do you actually dump your tanks? I like to dump the old dirty
water out and put fresh in every 3 days or so. My horses can really dirty a
tank of water fast and do prefer the fresh water. I remember using snails in
our fish aquariums as a kid. If you dump a tank do you have to remove them
and aclimate them to the new water gradually like you do fish?

Hi Folks: I use a couple of snails. In the winter they need to be protected
(fishbowl in side the house) from freezing or near freezing temps.
