That reminds me of one of my very first endurance rides, the Tennessee
50, where I said to my riding companions "I don't know much about
Heaven but I know it must have horses, because if it doesn't have
horses it couldn't be Heaven."

A few miles later, climbing one of the Tennessee's interminable hills,
I added "And Hell is an uphill that never ends."
