Re: [RC] Pocket Pads - Zephyr Arabians
Thank you to everyone who responded publicly and
privately. :)
The responses seem to be split between pros & cons.
Seems it's at least worth getting one to try on
training rides at least (no, I'm not planning on
getting one with a canvas outer shell, and yes, I'm
looking for one long enough to accomodate my dressage
saddle).
The Snugpak (and similar) got lots of praise, but I
have a fleece cover on my saddle -- can't figure out
how that would work (trust me, I'd been considering it
among other options). ;)
Oh, and I don't want to put a lot of rings on my
saddle. This is also my regular dressage saddle. I
probably will have to break down and get a crupper dee
put on it soon though (round barrel & fat withers are
a bad combo on downhills...), and the crupper would
also hinder Snugpak attachment as far as I can see.
As for a pommel bag, that's another option I've been
considering. I'm just not crazy about putting more
weight forward on the horse, not that a water bottle
and a few little items weigh all that much I guess.
Over analyzing is a weakness of mine....
So, thx again everyone! :)
