(D-Los Angeles) haven't given up their dirty deal for the Sierras. While

held up last week from moving out of the Senate Resource & Wildlife =
Committee, AB1130 - a bill to establish the Sierra Nevada Conservancy -

has been shoved into AB997, a bill dealing with stream bed alteration =
ALSO AUTHORED BY DICK DICKERSON!  =

  b.. Supporters of the Conservancy bill couldn't get the votes up to =
pass AB1130 on it's own merits so they decided to end run the public and

include the language as an amendment into AB997, currently before the =

include the Sierra Nevada Conservancy language, and be voted on as a =
complete package. =20


IF DICKERSON AND THE DIRTY DOZEN CAN'T AMEND AB997 WITH AB1130 BY =
