I heard once that Old Macs don't work well in deep sand. Is that true? Does the sand get trapped in them? My horse is barefoot and needs to wear boots on rocky trails, but around here you often have to ride through deep sand too. I've been using Easyboots and sand sifts out the back of the boot fine, but they do come off every once in a while. I really don't like having to keep an eye on whether they're still on or not, and I don't want to bother with foam just for training rides. I'd like to try Old Macs, but I don't want to spend the money if they're not going to work in deep sand. Does anyone know?
Thanks!
