I'm sorry if you Ridecampers think this has turned into a public tongue lashing or bashing. This whole forum started with comments Heidi made about being good representatives within an organization, or words to that affect. Also how she saved trails and stood up to the FS. This is all old "stuff", but when
someone toots their own horn themselves with distortions, I for one think the rest of the story needs to be told. Yes, Heidi had many battles with the FS. But where she had battles to even get a permit, we now have a five-year permit for Sunriver because we have abided by the rules and gotten the proper permits and paid the appropriate fees.
BTW, we've lost rides in Oregon this year not because of the Forest Service being hard to work with....we lost them this year because we're burning up!!!
