        I had asked about IV and his response was...  In cases of head  or
    severe trauma I would IV, but with leg injuries I would tube because I
    consider it more diluted (and I gathered less risky).  And that he would
    give half bottle (alcohol bottle size) to 1 1/2 gallon to make sure it was
    well diluted (other vet said 400cc/gal).  Does this make sense to you?
