Hard to tell here in the land of donkeys...little guys work so hard they'd
be hard put to overeat. They eat a lot of alfalfa (berseem) when it's in
season and anything they can get otherwise from corn stalks to cabbage.

I am not a vet or shoer, but have not heard this.....donkeys can founder on
too rich a diet, and should not be given alfalfa as a general rule of thumb.
My neighbor has a miniature donkey that has foundered twice....
