[RC] Thoroughbreds - Amy Lacy
I am curious if many people on this list ride Thoroughbreds. I'm wondering
if there are more TB fans out there, and if not, why not? What you do to
prepare your TB for endurance competition? Are there any particular issues
that TBs tend to have over other breeds? They are so similar to Arabs in
temperament, I have to think they have many of the same training issues.
I have two TBs, that I have owned since birth. :) I will not sell them to
get a more suitable mount. They are my "best buddies." So we will do what we
can and go as far as we can, and that is that.
I am a newbie to the endurance world, but find it intriquing. I might be
interested in conditioning my horses for a ride next spring. I am already
working on conditioning myself. :) Are there any other people or groups out
here in the greater Seattle area that do this sort of thing? I live in
Monroe, WA. There was a group called Radical Riders that I met with once,
very nice people. I really wanted to get started then, but life intervened.
I recently tried finding them on the web, but couldn't find their web site
anymore. If anyone has information about groups in this area, please contact
me. My personal email address is amylacy1@xxxxxxxx
Thanks!
Amy Lacy with best buds, Tyler and Nia
