[RC] special sanctioning - Michael Maul
In response to:
Uh, when did this change to being in the purvey of the regional
sanctioning director? If memory serves (and granted I'm not going back
and looking this up), three-day rides have traditionally been special
events like longer multi-days, and have always been under the
jurisdiction
of the special sanctioning director--which included board approval for
the
first two years....
*************************
The rules have always said: Note the "more than" below
11.2 Special event rides are series of rides on consecutive days,
totaling more than 3 days or 150 miles. Special Qualification rides are
rides with entry qualifications other than those contained in rule
#3. Special event and special qualification rides shall require
approval of the AERC Board of Directors for sanction for the first 2
years.
