I just looked in the book,
it says MORE than 3 days are special event. The way I understand the proposed
change is that it would make 3 day rides special events and subject to board
approval. Thus my objection to that change. Rite, Steph??? Annie G.

Uh, when
did this change to being in the purvey of the regional sanctioning
director? If memory serves (and granted I'm not going back and
looking this up), three-day rides have traditionally been special events
like longer multi-days, and have always been under the jurisdiction of the
special sanctioning director--which included board approval for the first
