The thing is, why on earth would you ever want to bail on your horse unless he's going down, for sure, or falling off a cliff and you need to save your life. If you bail on a horse doing 30 MPH, first of all you're going too fast for endurance, and second of all, you need to learn how to stop an out of control horse before you even get out on that trail where you could get into this type of situation.
Often, one finds the safest place AROUND a horse is ON the horse.
