[RC] Interference - Ridecamp Guest

A ride buddy's horse has interfered for years. He (the horse)
has dings on both hind legs; the vets note these at the pre-vet
checkins at rides, and the horse has never been pulled because
of these and doesn't act like they bother him. The horse is
now beginning to ding on the left front also (worse rear ding is
the right rear!).
My horse is beginning to click a little; plus I've had heated
debates with my beloved farrier about leaving her toes too long
for time immemmorial.
Vet's observation and solution: both horses are shod a "little
incorrectly". He is going to radiograph both horses - with the
farrier in attendance - and come up with templates for both
horses that all of us can agree upon. The vet was a noted
farrier in these parts before going to vet school, so I feel
that we have a good shot at making some progress with both
horses.
Re Truman's comment about the value of a good, basic farrier:
mine is reliable, honest, trustworthy; in short, a good guy;
but not proactive in researching/learning about stuff he
doesn't know already.
The x-rays should give us a standard that we all can live with;
hope this works for us; and might be something to consider.
Ciao, Bett
