I won't give you all the long version of the story
on
why I had to drive from North Stonington,
Connecticut
to Clemson, South Carolina without turning off
the
engine. Nor why--after replacing the starter
in
Clemson--I also had to drive from
Clemson,
South Carolina to
Norris, Tennessee without
turning off the engine again...
Suffice to ask: is there any make of starter
that
it is better to stick in one of these old 454's
than
a rebuilt Chevy AC Delco? Something
more
resistant to heat?
By the way, the Clemson trails conference
was
WONDERFUL!
