I am an experienced rider who is NOT beginning to ride. (Guess I should of stated that in my post). But thank you for your reply. I appreciate it. I am a good rider who rides with experienced 50 and 100 mile mentors and we train pretty intensely. (No flames, my horse started slowly last year and would easily do a 50 tomorrow). We just finally got to our first ride this weekend cause of other circumstances.

There must be something about the actual endurance ride with the adrenaline and having your horse "hotter" under you that makes your body work 3 times harder and the fact that you do end up riding faster than on training rides that makes you more sore and get rubbed more. I have not gotten sores like this since I was younger and riding hunter/jumpers and having my INSANE trainer take my stirrups away from us for 3 mos. prior to show season.....and then making you do a sitting trot for what seems like HOURS around that ring......but thats another story.....so no I'm NOT an inexperienced rider. Do any of you get these sores during a ride and have found something to help them? Anything you put there or something? Guess I'm not wearing a shorter skirt to work for awhile......who cares, it was worth it!!
