[RC] Tevis 2002 - Not a Ride for Snivelers - Joan Dowis
To give credit where credit is due, the quote belongs to Marvin Jacinto, a
retired Placer County Sheriff's Captain and former Western States Trail
Board member, who was in charge of the Sheriff's Search and Rescue Mounted
Unit for many years and organized the drag riders from that unit before the
current group, SOS, came into being. Also, Marvin rode Tevis twice, '84 and
'85. Pretty good accomplishment for him, as Marvin is a big guy, but he
found a nice big Arab who was as tough as he is.
