I too have a box of buckles - not a Tevis,
unfortunately, but a couple ODs and Big Horns. Back in the 80s many rides
gave buckles for completions. One fellow in PA designed and cast his own
in his work shop. We put a very well earned buckle in the casket with our
good friend when he died - his horse had won it with another rider at the Big
Horn.
