You've got that right....
I recently sold a seven year old wonderfull and beautifull mare who had
completed four 25's and two fifties last two years and just completed two
50's this spring, difficult ones, and has never in her life had even a runny
nose. After two days of trailering, five days in a stall in quarantine, and
a week in a stall with no turnout, the purchaser rode the horse and she tied
up.....duh.....
After a week of being stalled again with no turnout, next time she was
ridden ....mild tie-up...duh!!!!!
I retrieved my horse, gave her a month in the pasture and have been riding
her on conditioning rides, no problem, and will ride her in at least one
more 50 this year. I have to build another perfect history for this mare
whose only problem was constant stall bound with no turnout. Now who would
have thought to ask whether the horse would have some room to stretch her
legs? Who would even want to own a horse without the facilities for some
turn-out? Go figure....
