    Subject: Cottonwood Creek Ride

As a result of the extreme drought conditions
and high fire danger here in Wyoming I am going to have to cancel my
Cottonwood Creek ride on August 3. All of the natural water sources as well
as two stock wells are dry and the landowner has asked that the ride not be
held. He is concerned about sharing the little water that exists and it is
also virtually impossible to haul water into most places were it would be
needed. Temperatures here have been in the high 90"s to 100's for the entire
month of July and there is no sign of it letting up.  Frankly even if
the landowners wanted the ride to take place, I do not believe that I
could put on a safe ride under the current conditions and my head
veterinarian shares this concern as well. If you could please make this
announcement on the AERC/Endurance Net websites, I would appreciate it. I
will send in the necessary paperwork regarding the
cancellation.
