There are books out there that can help you with how to teach your pony to
drive. Start with ground driving, work up to having the pony pull the cart
with you walking behind it, and progress to getting in. (The basic process)
However, driving can be dangerous--even a pony, so if you have no idea on
how to drive, or train a pony to drive, please get proffessional help. And
yes, driving horses/ponies ect., do need to know how to back up. Other than
that, driving is fun!!
