Ridecamp: [RC] Saddle Stolen at Tevis

My recollection is that a saddle was taken at the vet-in at Robie Park that
belonged to Al Beaupre, but I believe this was 2 years ago.  Was there one
taken last year also, or was this the one?  An older saddle was left in its
place.

There was much conversation about this and word was put out to competitors
that someone should keep an eye on the equipment while the horse was vetted
out, as it was required to bring the tack with the horse.

I haven't heard of any such thing happening at another vet check.  Please
correct me if I'm wrong.  This would be devastating to the rider.  I do
recall a new horse blanket coming missing at Foresthill a few years ago.  It
pays to have your crew keep an eye on your things.
