Sorry to be stepping so far into the past but i guess thats
what i am...a thing of the past. But during the GAHR, i had more faith than
money. In Millersburg, Ohio i needed a set of shoes. I saw all these
Mennonites going down the road in their Buggys getting it on and not slipping on
the pavement. So i called a Local Farrier named Miller and he set me four
shoes that they used on their buggy horses and charged me less than the farriers
on the ride. The Vets all took photos of those shoes and said ..."They
will Lame your Horse". The rest of the story is i pulled the fronts at the
Utah Sate Line and the rears much further on. They had at least 3/8"
Studite cleats, 3 at the toe and 1 at each heel. I kept those shoes as
articles included into a sponsorship award to my sponsors. tom
