I had a lot of fun (not) trying to find a saddle to fit my horse. And it 
wasn't that I was making her back sore, but most saddles I used were 
leaving dry spots near her withers. Now I use a Sportsaddle on her (aka 
"the couch") and we love it. The only 'minus' is that during the winter 
months, it begins to rub her loins, but it never gets very bad. My horse 
seems to be quite happy with it......and when she's happy, I'm happy! :-)
