Re: [RC] LD MY final ideas or cut- delete - EgyptianMirage
A LD rider, by my perspective, should be a rider being introduced to the
sport, riders who choose to only ride in 25 or 30 mile rides and except the
terms and conditions of that choice or, in your case, a rider who is getting
back into the sport (for warm-up). A part of the sport is not just riding
the ride but also being included in everything that AERC is all about so I
don't see where you are coming from when you state that "LD riders still
receive EN, be able to vote for directors and all the other privileges of
membership." Tell me where I am wrong here.
I'm not sure where the stallion comment came from. I have known plenty of
riders who own stallions and do exactly the same thing that people who own
geldings and mares do when their horse if trained properly. Let me know if I
misunderstood that comment. I will be happy to take back the disagreeing
tone that I wrote it in.
Yes, members are members and how they choose to compete is their business
but, I am just saying that the original intent of LD's is the original intent
of LD's (repeating it the same way you did) and how the AERC chose to create
that category originally makes sense and should be taken into consideration.
