I don't see how using a GPS is in any way a violation of that rule.
As the rule also specifically allows crews, I believe using a radio to
contact your crew is also OK under the rule, and should be. However,
it might be good to have the BoD clarify the use of radios before it's
tested with a protest.
Sometimes it seems than whenever somebody comes up with a "better
mousetrap" to use on a ride (heart monitors, for example), somebody
else wants to ban its use. Hey, if we want to really be "natural," we
should ban the use of saddles!
