Ridecamp: [RC] Re [RC] loose salt/mineral

Hey, down here in the hot humid SE, especially humid this week, finally got 
some much needed rain,  we free choice the salt/mineral mix and they have 
constant access to a salt and mineral block.  This week we have had to put 
out the mix every day, we use the Purina horse mineral or another horse 
specific mineral mix and throw in a couple handfuls of loose livestock salt 
for good measure, they have been licking it clean, every day.  Then 
sometimes it will sit for days, the beauty of free choice is if they need 
or want it, the mix is available, hope this helps, Lynn
