RE: [RC] Sorbathane and Human Conditioning - Jerry & Susan Milam
I'll tell you all about great polyurethane shoes I've been using the past 3
seasons on my horse and there isn't a surface I rather have steel shoes on
instead of these. They are absolutely superb for concussion absorbtion and
have great traction on all surfaces.
The most recent brand I've tried are Ground Control Horshoes and I found
them at www.plastichorseshoes.com . They are even better designed than the
previous ones I used- Helvetia's and I got them from KV Vet. I can get 2
shoeings out of them usually unless it's early in my conditioning program
when I have to do alot of asphalt road work.
The only drawback is it is a giood idea to check the clinches every few
weeks because the shoes do move with the concussion microscopically and
loosen the clinches after awhile. Haven't noticed it as much that we're not
doing as much asphalt.
I won't use anything but these shoes anymore.
Happy Tails,
Susan and Fly Bye
