Thanks all for encouragement and advice .

We are going to give it our best shot . I'm keeping my fingers crossed the Judge , who I really like for Dressage , will overlook his unconventional look and see him for his great movement and nice conformation . I won't clip his ears out or his muzzle and I won't sand  & polish his hooves .( which I don't do with my Dressage horses either )  I will bob his tail , braid his mane and clip the other parts and make sure he is as shiny as possible. I'll let you know how it goes .
