    How do you know when a horse is ready for its first slow 100? The horse in question has been under saddle since summer 2000. He did LD/CTR in 2000 and 2001. He did the OD 50 this year. I have 2 more 50's we can get to in 2002. 100's seem like such a big jump, and there aren't any 75's in my area. We haven't done anything but LSD work, but I plan on very gradually adding some speed. No hills here. Oh, the horse is going to be 8 years old in October.
