Here's a few:
My mentally handicapped friend, Bekki Crippen's horse Buddy Bullseye
would fall in that catagory. He did his first 25 in 1999. They *thought*
he was 19 at the time. She's done 25 milers on him for 4 years now. This
Spring he finished Million Pines 25 middle of the pack. We got in a
discussion with a local vet and he said Buddy has to be AT LEAST
26...since he'd been treating him at one farm or another since he'd
opened his practice.
The horse my daughter rides, Ben Amil is 20. Last fall at age 19 he got
his first 2 career BC's, and was high point junior horse in the SE.
If I recall correctly, when I crewed for the Central Region at the North
American Champs in Flagstaff our Silver medal team's 3 top finishing
horses were over age 15.
Debra (used to be Morisette) Ivey's mare Vali HiFayzera is 21. She has
come out of retirement this year and has several top 10's and I believe 2
BC's so far.
