Hi Patti,
I drink "Ultra Fuel"... If you can stand a sweet taste, these are great.
(my husband hates them, says they are to sweet) I get my Ultra Fuel at
Krogers (grocery store). They have many different flavors, my favorite being
the Grape. (and no this has nothing to do with my purple craze either <g>)
I make sure to drink one Friday night before the ride, 1 at the checks and
one after completion, unless of course someone puts a beer in my hand
first... But we are talking about staying hydrated here... The ONLY thing I
don't like about the Ultra Fuel, is it comes in a glass bottle, so filling up
your water bottles, to take on trail with you is a must. And of course, the
calorie count... WOW 400 calories in 1 serving... I would gladly copy down
the label if you would like. I can tell a definite difference when I don't
have my Ultra Fuel... It helps w/ muscle soreness as well.
Of course it is still fun to sit in your muck bucket and play with the
sponges, after the ride. Doing this you can expect an amassed look on your
horses face...
Hope this helps...
Jinnifer
