Re: [RC] Helmets - FASTGraphic
My dearest Barbara,
I got your point, thank you. I just don't agree with it. Yes, to answer
your snide remark, I have many who care for me, and I for them. That is why
I have specific instructions to NEVER drain any purses dry while on some life
support system somewhere while they have to "care for me."
Glad you are not weight challenged. :o) But I bet there is something you
are or do that I would not like. I, however, would defend to my death your
right to do it. That is the difference between us. I want people to be free
to do as they please. You seem to want people to do as you please.
As for your little anecdotal stories on the glory of lifesaving helmets, I am
not impressed. Anecdotes are a dime a dozen I had a friend who was burned to
death in a car accident. The charred body was recovered hanging our of the
side of the car. He was obviously trying to get out and away from the fire
which consumed him. Unfortunately, his seat belt restrained him from
escaping the flames. Does that mean seatbelts are dangerous? No. Means
anecdotal evidence is meaningless.
In most cases, one is safer with a helmet on. In most cases, one is safer
with a seatbelt on. But why stop there? Just stay off the damn horse and
you'll be perfectly safe. Until your time is up. Then, no matter what you
do or where you are, it is over.
My main point, however, is just this - your head, your call. My head, my
call. I just wish you could respect that.
