Thank you Angie for your post so
succinctly pointing out that completion/pull ratios matter very much. And
thank you Sylvia for bringing this to light.. If we cannot depend upon
ride managers' reports and the subsequent EN reports and records then why do we
both with the points systems.
Here in the NW Region year end awards recognize
horses with 10 consecutive rides within the ride year and it's an honor to make
that list of horses. I'd hate to think that award became meaningless
because some rider/ride manager chose to ignore a start that ended in a
pull.

with you that this is not important. Stallion owners advertise
their completion ratio. Sellers of horses advertise it. It matters
and a high ratio is valueable.

you have to take your argument "to the people" to get it out
there. If something's going on and people haven't thought it was a
big deal to let it slide, let's nip it in the bud before it's a
big deal. Small holes sink big
ships.
