Brittany, I have had 2 OF saddles and use the booties, which are different then what you're describing. I also have 2 "load leveler" pads. They're made so you can add shims inside of the pad. They're a pain to wash every time you use them, so I prefer to use the booties. ----- Original Message ----- From: Brittany Murphy Sent: Thursday, June 06, 2002 2:02 PM To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [RC] pads with OF saddle Hi all, What kinds of saddle pads are all you OF riders out there using? It seems the booties are most common, but I wonder about the friction caused from having the saddle and pad attached? The pad that came with my used OF cutback just has velcro tabs on the top side that attach to the panels, then there is also a cotten cover that protects the panels and keeps the rest of the saddle from the horse. It doesn't look like OF makes anything like this anymore. I need to buy a second saddle pad, I'm just not sure what to get. Any suggestions?
